If you think happiness can bring someone to live a long life, think again. Some scientists even claim to people who are 'too happy' tend to die younger.

The scientists believe that children who possess "too cheerful" will die younger than their peers are more closed. The reason, children with nature like this will lead-free lifestyle which often contain risks and unhealthy.

In addition, people with too cheerful personality is more likely to have psychiatric problems like depression, bipolar disorder, which causes sufferers experience extreme emotions change from happy to sad extraordinary excess.

In this study, researchers from the universities children examined data from the 1920's until they are older. From the study, they find statistically that children who are considered to be too cheerful proved to have a shorter life than their classmates are more subdued.

One researcher, Professor June Gruber, assess a lot of people push yourself to be happy, but ended up disappointed because of the fact that there does not fit expectations.

"When someone is being too cheerful in the hope that this will make them happy, it can actually lead to a sense of disappointment," he said as quoted by the Telegraph.

"The strongest indicator of happiness is not money or recognition of one's success or fame. Rather it has a meaningful social relationships,"said Gruber.

"That is, the best way to increase your happiness is to stop worrying whether you're happy or not. Instead, divert your energy to build your social relationships with others," he concluded.

The results of this study itself has been published in the journal Perspectives on Psychological Science.
