Internet and Game Not Make You Fat

According to research ever conducted, concluded that obesity rates among children who play video games and watching television hooked higher than those who do not play video games.

But in a recent study conducted by a team from Michigan State University, United States, published in the Journal of Computers in Human Behavior, was playing video games and surf the internet for long has nothing to do with kids being overweight.

Quoted from New Scientist, the research, as many as 482 children aged 12 years was collected. For three years, the children and their parents surveyed six times. During this period, participants were asked to answer questions about the use of cell phones, internet, and playing video games.

Researchers then record the value of the test results, height, weight, socio-economic conditions and also the factors of race and then measuring mathematics ability, visual, and reading the children.

As a result, it was found that, video games just like the internet and mobile phone usage, not a factor affecting the weight or body-mass-index (BMI). Indeed, factors that affect it is race, age, and socioeconomic status.

Playing games also enhance spatial visual abilities of children. They are a lot of Internet browsing also has the ability to read better. Nevertheless, the habit could affect their value in schools and tend to lose a sense of confidence.
